Also, another novelty is the usage of a secure element used to sign all the transactions. The earlier fiscalization system in the Republic of Srpska was introduced in 2007 through the promulgation of the first important regulation in this field, but it required extensive upgrades due to outdated technologies.

According to updated fiscal regulations in this country, every retail store is obliged to record every single turnover over fiscal devices. This is valid for every payment method allowed by the law. In addition, each store has to be registered at fiscal authority, and there is mandatory certification of POS application.

In the "Official Gazette of the Republika Srpska," No. 80/24, the Rulebook on Amendments to the Rulebook on the Dynamics of Fiscalization was published.
