One of the key roles of PDPs is to create and issue e-invoices on behalf of their clients, as well as receive them from their customers. They also prepare the required information for submission to the PPF, which is a Chorus Pro-based portal used by businesses and public organizations to manage their invoicing.
PDPs also manage and transmit the life cycle of invoices, which includes issuing, receiving, and archiving them to report on the updated status of an invoice. They also ensure the completion of e-reporting, which is the additional digital reporting required to cover B2C transactions.
Furthermore, PDPs receive or extract transaction and payment data as part of reporting and transmit it to the PPF. Throughout these processes, they are responsible for ensuring the secure transmission of billing, transactional, and payment information, validating tax treatment, and providing full reporting and transparency for services performed for taxpayer clients.
The digitization of invoicing processes has significant benefits for businesses and governments alike. It reduces paperwork, eliminates errors and delays, and saves time and resources. It also improves compliance with tax regulations and enhances transparency and accountability.
The role of PDPs is critical in achieving this goal, as they provide a bridge between businesses and the PPF. Their services ensure that invoicing processes are digitized and compliant with legal and tax requirements.
