Fiscal subject related
One of these reasons could be to perform a refund in case the buyer is returning an item to the seller. Another reason could be to correct an advance payment receipt or, in other words, to close an advance payment with a final corrective receipt. Corrective receipts are also used to void the already fiscalized receipts that have resulted in error status during the subsequent checks performed by the Tax Authority.
Also, there are special rules for correction of the other types of fiscal documents and transactions in Montenegro, in relation to corrections of cash and cashless receipts, corrections of errors, closing advance payment transactions, corrections during the usage of gift cards or vouchers, corrections of summary receipts, etc. Also, these procedures must be clear because of the tax inspection.
To summarize, corrective receipts can be issued for a number of reasons, including corrections of wrong calculations, wrong information on the receipt, returns, advance payments, usage of gift cards or vouchers, as well as errors found during subsequent checks. Importantly, corrective receipts are fiscal receipts. As a rule, they contain a reference to the original receipt that they are correcting (the IKOF of the original receipt). Also, taxpayers must maintain an electronic journal of all corrective receipts that they issue.
