The standard VAT rate is set at 25%, applicable to most taxable turnover, withdrawals, and imports unless a reduced rate is specified.
A reduced VAT rate of 15% applies to sales, withdrawals, and imports of foodstuffs.
A 12% reduced VAT rate is designated for specific services, including personal transport, hotel accommodations, cinema tickets, and various cultural and sporting events.
An 11.11% VAT rate is specified for sales related to wild marine resources, such as fish caught in the wild.
Additionally, a 15% VAT rate will apply to sales and withdrawals of water from waterworks and sewage services.
These adjustments reflect ongoing efforts by the Norwegian government to manage economic conditions and support various sectors while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
